Variables — founded in 2021 by artist Leah Beeferman — is an archive of conversational interviews between artists, scientists, researchers, writers. Each conversation unfolds slowly, over email, and is lightly edited when complete. Together, the conversations present a wide range of approaches to an expansive question: how do we translate information and experience into the forms and languages of artistic and scientific practices?
